This wholly new setting of an extract from the Medieval sequence “Veni Sancte Spiritus” focuses on the idea of light as life-giver and love-giver, and may therefore find broad concert use throughout the year as well as expanded liturgical use beyond Pentecost to Advent & Epiphany. O Lux Beatissima was first performed by The Rider University Choir, a small, unauditioned, avocational choir drawn from the several areas of undergraduate studies there.
